The client is an international and publicly listed financial service institution- specifically its foreign exchange division.

Within the company, the analysis department will be in charge of following the financial markets activities and changes plus delivering periodic reports and commentaries on FX markets to clients and the media across the global network.

Its international presence is materialised with offices across the globe, ranging from North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. In Europe, offices are mainly in Luxembourg, Amsterdam and Madrid.


Job Description

The FX Market Analyst you will have to:

  • Produce periodic reports and commentaries based on a previous FX Markets analysis. (European G10 and CE3 FX markets along with other thematic trends). The reports will be directed to both external and internal audiences that include clients, media and internal stakeholders.

While the role is global focused, the role will see the analyst specialise in local markets - eurozone, Scandinavia, CE3.

  • Assist in the delivery of the department content, which includes: the week ahead document, FX outlooks, currency forecasts, morning client notes, and reactive economic content. Likewise, collaborate with the marketing department in any content related. Contributing to content strategy in conjunction with the marketing department.

  • Produce long form research and forecasting activities. Examples include building macroeconomic and econometric models to understand developments in relevant economies and financial markets and forming strong opinions on current and future developments in FX, central banks, and economics.

  • Liaise with PR companies on the content and delivery of media commentary ( like broadcast interviews).


The Successful Applicant

The successfull candidate will need to have:

  • Proven academic record of bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (Economics, Finance, Econometrics).
  • Plus- Additional qualifications such as an MSc, CFA, or other are desirable but not essential.


  • Familiarity, experience and knowledge in Financial Markets.


  • Fluency in English and C1 in Dutch. In the absence of Dutch, fluency in French or German.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrable ability to present complex ideas, themes, and views to all relevant parties in a clear and engaging way. Alongside, good interpersonal skills.


  • Good response to pressure (be able to respond quickly to market developments and meeting tight deadlines).


  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and working knowledge of relevant econometric software e.g. Eviews, Macrobond, Python, R.
